The FAT Trout Fishing Competition

 

August 24^th and 25^th inclusive – Rotorua lakes

 

Come and have fun fishing for FAT Trout at Rotorua – the fatter the better in fact!

In support of the NZ Hunting, Fishing and 4x4 Expo, Eastern Fish & Game are running a  Fat Trout Fishing Competition over the 24^th and 25^th of August 2024. Entry to the Competition is Free, as long as you’ve got a ticket for the Expo! Weigh-in is at the Expo.

Win cool prizes sponsored by local Rotorua businesses. Prize categories include Best Condition factor senior and junior and average condition factor, plus spot prizes!

The competition area is all Rotorua lakes and tributary streams that are open to fishing.

Note. Condition Factor is a measure of a fishes’ fatness. It is calculated as follows:
CF= weight x 3612.8. Divided by length cubed.
