2024 Southland Soft Bait Clinic

Want to learn how to catch more trout and perch? Soft baits are a highly effective spin-fishing method for beginners to advanced anglers.
This free, mid-week clinic will be presented by Lance Gill from Composite Developments. His role sees him supplying stores with Okuma, Rapala and other well-known fishing brands.
On his personal Instagram, @fishthedriftnz, he shares his fishing adventures, seeks to educate people on fish handling and all things fish related, like soft bait techniques, tips, tricks. He also has a lot of content from the canals, and what has been working well up there.
The evening will firstly cover off the equipment - the rods, reels and line.
It will then move onto jig-heads and soft-baits, and how to cast and retrieve these effectively adjusting for various water depths and speeds.
There will be something here for soft bait anglers of all abilities.

- A group fishing licence for everyone participating on the evening will be provided.
