Fish & Game Officer - Otago region

The Otago Fish and Game Council is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Fish & Game Officer to join our team based in Dunedin.
The successful applicant will undertake duties associated with the management of sportsfish and gamebirds and their habitat including monitoring angler and hunter use, evaluating fish and game resources, regulation compliance, responding to licence holder needs, and writing articles and reports on fish and game issues.
If you have an interest in sportsfish and gamebirds, and the Otago environment in general, then we would like to hear from you, especially if you have some or all of the following attributes:
- A true passion for the environment and its sustainable use
- Well developed oral and written communication skills.
- A sound knowledge of fish and game management principles and angling and hunting techniques.
- A tertiary qualification in freshwater science, ecology, science communication or a related field.
- Relevant work experience.
