Reel Life September 2020

It’s time to go fishing!!!

The new season is only a few days away and the fish will be rested, naive and it will be some of the most exciting fishing you can get.

Don’t miss the opportunity of the absence of non-resident licence holders out there this season, so challenge yourself and try fishing somewhere new.

To help anglers out Fish & Game have created a new section on our website called Trout Fishing Made Easy full of tips and techniques to help you become a successful trout angler.

pcWe also have a new section called Park & Cast where each Fish & Game region has highlighted five spots that are easy to get to and hold good numbers of fish.

Giving you a great chance at success.

Buying your licence is the first step in unlocking these fantastic fishing spots.

For those of you with access to a boat, the team at Eastern Fish & Game have created a handy how-to booklet on boat fishing which you can access here. It’s full of helpful tips and hints for novice and experienced anglers alike.

With the arrival of the new season there are always new regulations that come into effect , if you haven’t received a regulations booklet when you purchased your licence you can download one here

Open all year2To help anglers in the Nelson Marlborough region work out if the waterway they are looking at is open all year round, they have created “open all year” stickers which are on the relevant Angler Access signs throughout the region.
