DUCK HUNTERS EVENING - THURSDAY 28th APRIL 2022

Due to the loss of pre duck hunting season events in the Bay of Plenty, Eastern Region Fish & Game is organising a duck hunters evening, just before the 2022 game bird hunting season.
The aim is to educate hunters in our region on how to be more successful at attracting and hunting ducks, inform them of current bird management practices and wider hunting laws. The evening's
programme also aims to impart highly practical advice, while providing a fun atmosphere for those who attend.
Topics to be covered include:
- decoy layouts (ducks)
- duck calling
- maimai preparation
- gun fitting and patterning
- game bird management and laws
- tips and bits
Entry is free, and on arrival attendees will be handed a uniquely numbered token.
Random draws will be undertaken during the evening and the winners will receive products kindly sponsored by our supporters.
The duck hunters evening will take place Thursday, 28th April 2022 (7:00pm-9:00pm) at the Pongakawa Hall, Old Coach Road- 30 minutes from Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane.
