Weed Spraying on the Rotorua Lakes

Weed spraying on many of the Rotorua lakes is due to take place between November 14 and December 2.

This is a standard operation that has been carried out for many years to knock-back the incursion of invasive weed species which affect angling.

A temporary rahui will be in place at the spray site for a period of 24 hours. The rest of the lake will remain open to fishing and food gathering. Signs will be erected at spray sites during operations.
