Hunting NZ > It takes a hunter to make a hunter competition
It Takes a Hunter to Make a Hunter” is a joint Fish & Game NZ and Hunting & Fishing New Zealand programme with the aim of promoting experienced hunters introducing novices to the sport. It is well understood that starting game bird hunting, whether a youngster or adult, can be a daunting task on your own. Most of us recall our own beginnings in the sport, and that invariably involved a family member or mate taking us under their wing and showing us the ropes.
Entry to the It Takes a Hunter to Make a Hunter promotion involves emailing a photo of the hunter and novice ‘out there doing it’ to Fish & Game or posting the entry form and photo to Hunting and Fishing. All entries go into a draw for a range of prizes.
The programme opens on 3 May and entries must be in by 6 June. Note that for eligibility for the Fish & Game Regional restaurant game meal prizes, entries must be in by 20 May.
Make the most of the season by making a point of getting out there for more than just opening weekend, and introducing someone else to the action. Good hunting
